Rilis Video Musik ‘Pelangi Buram’ Feat. Anggi Ariadi: Review Terbaru

Band KAUSA from Cimahi officially released their latest music video for the single “Pelangi Buram” on July 11, 2025 on their official YouTube channel. This launch marks the return of the music group after nearly two years of inactivity since releasing their first single, “Plana Terra,” in August 2023.

“Pelangi Buram” is a bold social statement, expressing anger and sadness over the irony of life amidst Indonesia’s natural wealth. According to KAUSA, the song is a scream for those marginalized and the cries that are often unheard in a country known as paradise. Lyrics like “Demi sesuap nasi, jerit tangis melambung tinggi…” are described by the band as a realistic depiction of the suffering of the people in a resource-rich country still struggling with inequality and poverty.

The band strongly highlights the agrarian paradox of Indonesia, quoting data from the World Bank in 2024 showing Indonesia as the second country with the highest percentage of the population living in poverty, reaching 60.3%.

In their latest single, KAUSA maintains their signature hard edge, but this time with more focused and intense energy. This second single features tighter drum beats, aggressive and low guitar riffs, wide bass sounds, and emotionally charged vocals delivering a powerful message.

The creative process took a considerable amount of time due to the busy schedules of the band members, and it received added vocal arrangements and emotional strength from Anggi Ariadi (Revenge The Fate).

The music video for “Pelangi Buram” serves as a strong visualization of the socially critical message of the song. Directed by Hilman Wirahman from Alur Studio and The Everlasting 89, with cinematographer Dicky Chubby, the video showcases symbols of destruction, frustration, and depression.

Saffira Azzahra and Auryn Kahkashan portray the faces that visually represent the poignant lyrics of the song. The music production process took place at Svrgastudio, with mixing and mastering handled by Lukman from Bulls Records.

“We are not just making a song. We are screaming. We hope ‘Pelangi Buram’ can open the eyes of more people, that social justice has not truly arrived in our own land,” emphasized KAUSA in the official statement accompanying the video release.

They assert that this work is a reminder that the beauty of Indonesia’s nature, from tropical forests to coastlines, does not guarantee prosperity for all its people.

The music video launch coincides with a change in the band’s lineup. Feby, who previously played guitar, is now replaced by Anggi Barclay due to conflicting work schedules.

“Pelangi Buram” is expected to be a stepping stone towards KAUSA’s debut EP planned for release at the end of 2025. Meanwhile, the music video for “Pelangi Buram” is already available, and the digital version of the song is scheduled to be released on various music streaming platforms starting in August 2025.
