Minister Launches RISE To IPO for Medium Enterprises

Minister Maman Abdurrahman of Indonesia recently introduced the RISE To IPO program, aimed at providing medium-sized businesses with an alternative financing solution to support their growth. This initiative addresses the challenge faced by medium enterprises in Indonesia, not only in accessing capital but also in finding sustainable financing schemes tailored to their specific needs. The Minister highlighted the potential of Indonesia’s capital market as a promising source of alternative funding during the launch event for the RISE To IPO program. Data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange indicates that 42 medium-scale companies were listed on the acceleration board by the end of 2024, primarily from the consumer goods, technology, and property sectors. Minister Maman emphasized the significance of medium enterprises in anchoring millions of micro and small businesses across Indonesia. By upgrading to publicly listed companies, these medium enterprises can enhance their business resilience and create opportunities for micro and small enterprises to grow and expand their operations. This initiative aligns with President Prabowo Subianto’s vision of industrial downstreaming and strengthening productive sectors, aiming to contribute to the growth of the national economy.
