Lingkar.co – Sat Samapta Polres Grobogan conducted a raid on social diseases (pekat) in Purwodadi District, on Friday (26/4/2024). The pekat raid was led by Kanit Samapta Grobogan Police Chief Ipda M Sodik.
The raid targeted several hotels and boarding houses suspected of housing unofficial couples.
As a result, one unofficial couple was successfully apprehended from one of the boarding houses in Purwodadi District, Grobogan.
Ipda Sodik said that the raid initially targeted Padi Hotel on Jalan Ampera Number 8, Jajar, Purwodadi, Grobogan. The officers checked by asking the residents to submit their IDs for inspection.
The raid continued to a boarding house in Brambangan, Purwodadi, Grobogan. There, the officers did not find any unofficial couples.
He said the arrival of Grobogan Police personnel caused a surprise to the community. However, after receiving an explanation, the residents allowed the officers to proceed.
Then, when the police visited a boarding house in Banaran Village, Purwodadi Subdistrict, they found one couple with different identities.
Upon discovering this, the officers then brought them to Grobogan Police Station for registration.
“We asked for data from each boarding house resident. We found one couple with different addresses in the same boarding house,” said Ipda Sodik, Friday (26/4/2024).
According to him, social diseases are challenging to eradicate. Therefore, the police plan to conduct raids regularly and periodically. This is to ensure that Grobogan is free from social diseases.
“Furthermore, the circulation of drugs also needs to be watched out for, so that there is no room for them to operate in Grobogan,” he said.
The raid took about an hour from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. The raid will be conducted again unexpectedly. The aim is to make the community truly deterred from such negative actions. (*)
